On April 18, 2008, a lobbying session was held in a Civics class for better understanding about the process necessary for the passing of a bill. In this session, Mr. Zuckerman, a lobbyist for a Builders’ Union, proposed a bill to make major buildings safer. He stated that public places were unsafe because there were too many people at one time at the same place. His bill suggested that there should be easily accessible medical facilities at all major stadiums, buildings, and major places. Also, Mr. Zuckerman’s proposed legislation suggested that public phones should be installed conveniently at strategic intervals at all major public places, along with readily available, easily understandable contact information on signs. As the government is possibly funding this project, it shows how the government looks out for lower-level businesses around the nation, and how it listens to new ideas and propositions.
